Sensitive personal information

Important notice about mental health information: Our peer support cohort application and coaching intake forms collect information that may include details about your mental health history, diagnoses, recovery journey, grief experiences, and financial struggles. This is considered sensitive personal information and is subject to the highest level of protection we can provide.

Peer support is not clinical care. Cimone Anique is a Certified Peer Specialist for Mental Health (CPS-MH), not a licensed therapist, counselor, or clinical provider. Information shared in peer support sessions is governed by peer support confidentiality standards, not HIPAA. However, we handle all mental health-related information with the same care and discretion as a clinical provider would. If we believe your safety is at risk, we are ethically and legally obligated to refer you to appropriate licensed services or crisis resources.

Travel inquiry information

Travel inquiry forms may collect information about dietary needs, mobility considerations, health factors, and passport status. This information is used solely to plan and customize your travel experience and is shared only with necessary travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, tour operators) on a need-to-know basis.

Section 06

Who we share your information with

We share your personal information only in the limited circumstances described below. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

Service providers (processors acting on our behalf)

We work with third-party service providers who process personal information on our behalf to help us operate our website and deliver services. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify. They include:

  • Wix.com — website hosting, forms, payments, email marketing, and booking tools

  • Google Workspace — email and business communications

  • WorldVia — host travel agency for R·E·S·E·T Her travel booking services

Hey Peers platform

Our free and paid peer support group sessions are hosted on Hey Peers, a third-party peer support platform. When you join a session or group on Hey Peers, your use of that platform is also governed by Hey Peers' own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review at heypeers.com.

Safety and ethical referrals

Mandatory referral disclosure: As a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS-MH), Cimone Anique is ethically and legally obligated to refer clients to appropriate licensed clinical providers or crisis services if a session reveals acute clinical needs, safety risks, suicidal or homicidal ideation, or circumstances requiring professional diagnosis. In these situations, limited relevant information may be shared with emergency responders, crisis services, or licensed providers to protect your safety. This is not a discretionary disclosure — it is a professional and ethical obligation.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal processes such as a court order or subpoena. We will notify you of such requests to the extent permitted by law.

Business transfers

If Cimone Anique LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Section 07

How long we keep your information

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Our general retention guidelines are:

Contact and communication information

Email subscriber information is retained for as long as you remain on our list. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, after which your information will be removed from active lists within 30 days.

Peer support intake and session records

Peer support application and intake information is retained for a minimum of 3 years from the date of last service contact, consistent with professional peer support practice standards and applicable statute of limitations considerations. Mental health-related intake data is stored in secured, access-controlled systems and is not retained longer than necessary.

Travel inquiry and booking records

Travel inquiry information is retained for the duration of your booking and for 3 years following your trip date for dispute resolution and regulatory compliance purposes. WorldVia, as our host agency, maintains its own records in accordance with travel industry regulations.

Course enrollment records

Course enrollment and completion records are retained for 5 years following your last access to support certificate issuance, customer service inquiries, and record-keeping obligations.

Financial and payment records

Transaction records are retained for 7 years in compliance with IRS and business record-keeping requirements.

Website analytics data

Aggregate, anonymized website analytics data may be retained indefinitely for business improvement purposes. Individual-level analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics tools we use (typically 26 months for Google Analytics).

Section 08

How we protect your information

We take the security of your personal information seriously, particularly given the sensitive nature of mental health-related data collected through our peer support services. We implement the following protective measures:

  • Encryption in transit: Our website uses SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS) to protect data transmitted between your browser and our servers.

  • Access controls: Access to personal information is restricted to authorized individuals on a need-to-know basis.

  • Secure platforms: We use established, security-audited platforms (Wix, Google Workspace, WorldVia) that maintain their own security certifications and practices.

  • Password protection: Administrative accounts and systems containing personal data are protected with strong, unique passwords and, where available, two-factor authentication.

  • Third-party security: We select service providers who maintain appropriate security standards and, where required, execute data processing agreements.

Data breach notification: Georgia law requires notification to affected individuals in the event of a data security breach involving personal information. If a breach occurs, we will notify affected individuals in accordance with Georgia's breach notification statute (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-912) and any other applicable law, without unreasonable delay.

No method of data transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately at privacy@cimoneanique.com.

Section 09

Cookies and tracking technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the site, understand how visitors use it, and improve your experience. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website.

Types of cookies we use

  • Essential cookies: Required for the website to function. These cannot be disabled without affecting core site functionality (such as session cookies, security cookies, and shopping cart cookies).

  • Marketing and preference cookies: Remember your preferences and, where applicable, help us deliver relevant content and communications. These may include cookies set by social media platforms when you interact with share or follow buttons on our site.

Your cookie choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse new cookies, accept only certain cookies, or delete existing cookies. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our website.

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Our website currently does not respond differently to DNT signals, but we will update this section if that changes. You may use the contact information below to request that we not use your information for analytics or tracking purposes.

Section 10

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Exercising your rights will not affect your ability to receive our services.

Section 11

Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Our peer support cohort application requires applicants to confirm they are 18 years of age or older.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at privacy@cimoneanique.com and we will take prompt steps to delete that information.

Parents and guardians who believe their child has provided personal information to us should contact us using the information in Section 14.

Section 12

State-specific privacy rights

Georgia residents

As of April 2026, Georgia does not have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute. However, Georgia's breach notification law (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-912) applies to our operations and we comply fully with its requirements. Georgia courts are also developing common law data protection standards that we monitor and comply with. We treat all Georgia residents with the same privacy protections described in this policy.

California residents

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the rights listed in Section 10 above. In addition:

  • You have the right to opt out of the "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising by using a Global Privacy Control signal or by contacting us.

  • We do not have actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

  • You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.

  • We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

To submit a CCPA request, contact us at privacy@cimoneanique.com with the subject line "CCPA Privacy Request."

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws

Residents of states including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Montana, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Nebraska, Maryland, Minnesota, Kentucky, Rhode Island, and others with enacted privacy laws have rights similar to those described in Section 10. European and international users

Our services are primarily directed at residents of the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other international jurisdictions with data protection laws, please be aware that your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using our services, you acknowledge this transfer. We handle your information in accordance with the standards described in this policy and will work to honor applicable international data protection rights to the extent feasible for a small business of our size.

Section 13

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or applicable law. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date

  • Sending an email notification to our subscriber list for significant changes

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our website or services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

Given the rapidly evolving US state privacy law landscape, we conduct a full review of this policy at least annually — and more frequently when material changes occur in applicable law or our data practices.
